WhatsApp need a case to reassure how encrypted their system is.

A Private debate is already in order in the US Government how to get hold of WhatsApp messages altough there is nothing concrete nor any terrorism related activity in point but still after going through the recent Apple - FBI saga Government has decided to stir up the topic with WhatsApp. Its too early to say what will be the demands yet .

  • End to end encryption is there, agreed but how about adding a ghost account on every chat , it will be encrypted ! True. No one can even check that if that's possible or not, all our conversations are also sent to a ghost account which is designed not to show up ,is there anyway of proving it to be wrong ?.We can only hope that it's not true .
  • End to end encryption they say, try this: Turn off your phone receive some group / individual messages while your phone is off .Now Install Whatsapp on a new device use your previous number, run WhatsApp and you will get all the messages. So encryption? Encryption key is not with server they say how it can push old communication on new devices ? I Wonder.

As long as you can't see the source code, this is all false sense of Security and privacy something more threatening then the real threat of privacy invasion .
Some alternative Messaging Apps listed as per the security and encryption standards can be viewed on EFF Secure Messaging ScoreBoard.
The new Beta WhatsApp which I posted earlier shows how whatsapp data will be used for targeted ads on Facebook and so called "better social experience" we all know how Facebook would sell us ...
